The Gorilla Man (1943)

In the throes of war, Commando Captain Craig Killian, bearer of vital military secrets, finds himself injured and confined within the seemingly safe walls of a hospital on England's South Coast. Unbeknownst to him, this hospital is no sanctuary but a deceptive facade operated by Nazi spies, intent on undermining England's Home Defense. The hospital's sinister orchestrator, Doctor Joseph Wolf, seeks to discredit Killian's crucial information. He slyly convinces a high-ranking British official that Killian's wounds have induced shock, casting doubt on the validity of his words. But the resilient Killian, sensing the ploy, executes a daring escape with the aim to alert the authorities. However, the enemy is always one step ahead, reaching the authorities before Killian can. In a nefarious twist, they spin a web of crimes in Killian's name, turning him from savior to suspect.
