Plot

In the frosty heart of Moscow, Anton, a once-brilliant author, finds himself ensnared in a sinister web of his own making. Suffering from a crippling writer's block, he has exhausted the reservoir of ideas for his popular "Ghost" series revolving around a deadly hitman, a character birthed from the remnants of old news stories. During a routine book signing, an enigmatic man purchases Anton's latest novel, only to be spotted by Anton later, chillingly executing a witness tied to an impending trial. Days later, this real-life specter of Anton's fictional character seeks him out at a café, proposing a dangerous yet tantalizing exchange – fresh, thrilling plot ideas in return for Anton's silent complicity. The once-starved author finds his creativity rekindled, his words flowing with renewed vigor, yet unknowingly teetering on the precipice of a deadly abyss. Simultaneously, Anton's personal life teeters on the brink of ruin. His relationship with Mika, his patient yet disillusioned lover, is strained by his nocturnal writing marathons and his fondness for the bottle. His estranged son, tucked away in an institution, longs for his father's attention, a luxury Anton rarely affords. As this chilling dance with danger continues, the hitman incrementally escalates the stakes with Anton, pushing the boundaries of his moral code and raising an unnerving question: How far will an author descend into darkness for the sake of his art? This tale of intrigue and deception explores the shadowy path an author treads, unknowingly being manipulated into a deadly scapegoat for murder.
