Plot

In a world of law and order, Assistant District Attorney Cleve Marshall finds solace in the bottom of a whiskey bottle, his heart heavy with marital woes and the shadow of his father-in-law, Judge Calvin H. Blackwell. One evening, as he drowns his sorrows in his office, a beacon of intrigue named Thelma Jordon enters his life, reporting an attempted burglary at her wealthy Aunt Vera Edwards' residence. Drawn in by her allure, Cleve willingly allows himself to be swept into a whirlwind romance with Thelma, oblivious to the veil of mystery that shrouds her past. Their love affair, as intoxicating as it is dangerous, takes a chilling turn when Aunt Vera is found murdered in her home. Thelma, the prime suspect, reaches out to Cleve in desperation. Torn between his duty and his love, Cleve descends into a perilous path of deceit, as he manipulates the evidence, becoming Thelma's accomplice in a bid to protect her. As he finds himself assigned as the prosecutor in her case, he spirals further into the quagmire of their shared secret. "The File on Thelma Jordon" weaves a tale of passionate love, deception, and a murder that could spell doom for the two lovers. As the truth threatens to unravel, the fate of Thelma and Cleve hangs in the balance. Will they emerge unscathed or lose everything in the process? This tantalizing narrative teases at the edge of disaster, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats.
