Plot

Once a beacon of contentment in a quaint small town, Johnny Smith led a charmed existence. As a devoted science teacher, he ignited the imaginations of his students, unveiling the miracles of the natural world. His heart belonged to his childhood sweetheart and fellow educator, Sarah, to whom he was newly engaged. His widowed mother, his lifeline, lived a stone's throw away. But in a cruel twist of fate, a near-fatal accident catapulted him into a six-year-long coma, pulling the curtains on this picture-perfect life. Awakening from the abyss, Johnny is confronted with a world that has morphed beyond recognition. His mother has crossed the veil, and Sarah, the love of his life, is now wedded to another, their son oblivious of his existence. But the transformation is not limited to his surroundings. Johnny himself emerges from the coma reborn, his touch now a gateway into the lives of others, offering glimpses of their past, present, and future. As Johnny grapples with his altered reality, he embarks on a journey to understand his newfound psychic powers, a double-edged sword that could either be a blessing or a curse. His confidants in this odyssey are Bruce, his physical trainer turned close companion; Gene Purdy, a priest entrusted with his mother's legacy, whose intentions might not be as pure as they seem; and Sarah, who is treading the delicate path of welcoming Johnny back into her life without jeopardizing her newfound family. In this riveting saga of loss, rebirth, and self-discovery, Johnny Smith must navigate his second chance at life, while deciphering the enigma of his extraordinary abilities. What he sees through his psychic touchstone might astound you. Be prepared to step into Johnny's shoes as he uncovers the secrets that lie just a touch away in "The Dead Zone."
