Plot

In the dazzling ambiance of an upscale restaurant, Paul Lohman, an acerbic ex-high school teacher with a knack for eccentricity, and his wife Claire steel themselves for an evening of exquisite, yet excruciatingly pretentious cuisine at the invitation of Stan, Paul's elder brother and a budding Congressman, and his second wife, Katelyn. As platters of ludicrously expensive and elaborate dishes parade before them, the four attempt to engage in polite conversation, a veneer that doesn't quite mask the simmering tension at the table. The true purpose of this dinner gradually emerges from beneath the strain, revealing a chilling truth. Their teenage sons, hidden behind the veil of anonymity, had been caught on a security camera committing an act of violence against a defenseless homeless woman. The incident, now a scandalous spectacle on national TV, sees the boys still unidentified, their futures hanging in the balance. The parents are now faced with a conundrum that tests their morality to its very core. Should they guard their sons, concealing the heinous act to protect their future? Or should they expose them, allowing justice to be served for the nameless victim of their crime? 'The Dinner' is a gripping tale that challenges the boundaries of familial love and ethical responsibility, leaving the viewer questioning - what would they do in their shoes?
