Plot

In the eerie predawn hours of June 5, 1944, on the precipice of D-Day, two New Zealander commandos, Captain Ben Grogan and Sergeant Joseph Tane, stealthily infiltrate a German-occupied Channel Island. Their mission: create a diversion far from the true action in Normandy by sabotaging a seemingly unguarded German artillery installation. They navigate treacherous land mines and silent beaches, puzzled by the lack of German patrols and confounded by chilling screams echoing from the island's main bunker. Inside the bunker, their mission takes a macabre twist when they stumble upon a scene of unspeakable carnage, with German soldier’s bodies strewn about and a mysterious book filled with satanic spells. SS Colonel Klaus Meyer, a specialist in the occult, ambushes Tane and retrieves the book, leaving a trail of blood and death behind. The enigmatic screams lead Grogan on an unauthorized rescue mission deep into the bunker's bowels, where he encounters not a damsel in distress, but a nightmarish tableau of seeming satanic rituals and the haunting figure of his deceased wife, Helena. Meyer, who has been studying occultism in an attempt to create a formidable weapon for the war, unveils a chilling truth: the woman is not Helena, but a demonic shape-shifter conjured from the ancient book. This hellish creature has the power to appear as any woman a man desires, luring soldiers to their gruesome deaths. With the island's demonic secret revealed, an unlikely alliance forms between Grogan and the wounded Meyer, who wishes to defect to the Allies. Together, they must banish the demon back to the netherworld, a task that requires courage, cunning, and a dangerous ritual. As they prepare for the ritual, the demon tempts Grogan with visions of his beloved Helena, leading him to question his sanity and loyalties. The ritual's climax reveals the chilling truth of Meyer's true intentions: he wants to control the demon by sacrificing a human life - Grogan’s. A desperate struggle ensues, culminating with the demon devouring Meyer. Now alone, Grogan faces the fiend and chains her back in the bunker, leaving her to the fate of the imminent German reinforcements. As the tale reaches its chilling finale, we see the first German soldier enter the command center, only to be greeted by his beloved Nicole, who is, in reality, the demonic entity. As he embraces her, the screen fades to black and the island is once again filled with harrowing screams. The Devil's Rock thus intertwines the horrors of war with the terrors of the occult, creating a chilling narrative that lingers long after the screams fade away.
