Plot

In the tumultuous year of 1965, Rachel Brener stands as one of three audacious young Mossad agents, entangled in the precarious mission of capturing the dreaded "Surgeon of Birkenau" - a monstrous Nazi war criminal who eluded trial in Israel. A man as elusive as he is malevolent, his official demise was said to occur during an escape attempt while under the watch of his Israeli captors in an undisclosed European safe house. Fast forward 35 years, the infamous tale of the Surgeon's death is rudely challenged by a seemingly insignificant article in a local Kiev newspaper. The Surgeon, it claims, is not only alive but ready to confess his heinous crimes against humanity, particularly targeting the Jews. This disturbing revelation stirs the retired Mossad agents, now in their twilight years. The truth that they'd buried beneath decades of silence threatens to unravel - the Surgeon had outwitted their watch, injuring an unguarded Rachel before vanishing into the shadows. As their fabricated tale threatens to implode, the trio must safeguard their lives, reputations, and this elaborate story they've woven. The decision is made: Rachel must complete their original assignment and eliminate the Surgeon of Birkenau before their lie is exposed to the world. Rachel's daughter, Sarah, has innocently penned her mother's story, unaware of the veiled inaccuracies. Now Rachel must carry out this mission not only for her country and her comrades but for herself. She is burdened with the weight of 35 years of dreadful lies, and her survival hinges on her ability to once again become a cold-blooded assassin. As she faces her destiny, one question lingers: can the respected elderly lady reawaken the ruthless hit woman within, to fulfill her duty to society and to herself?
