Stalker (1979)

The Zone has been declared as off-limits by the local government, and for seemingly good reason. The Zone is believed to be occupied by aliens, but the rumors of a placed called the Room within the Zone that can grant any wish keep people trying to return to the Zone. The Stalker serves as a guide to people who want to journey into the Zone, and he's skilled at evading the patrols and barbed wire guarding the perimeter of the Zone. To the Stalker, the Zone is his whole life — but the Zone will force those traveling with him to confront uncomfortable truths about themselves.
