Dominic Da Vinci, a former City Coroner, now holds the reins of Vancouver as its newly elected Mayor. Known for his forthright viewpoints, he ambitiously sets forth to reshape the city’s fabric with some contentious measures. His audacious plans encompass a dedicated district for sex workers, secure injection sites for the city's drug-afflicted populace, and an innovative cross-training scheme for the police and fire & rescue teams. With the unwavering support of his diligent aides, Rita Mah and Sam Berger, Da Vinci shows no fear in circumventing established norms, or orchestrating behind-the-scenes deals to realize his vision. Amid this thrilling journey, he must secure the loyalty of his City Councillors and navigate a complex relationship with a recalcitrant Police Chief, a formidable adversary who finds himself at odds with the Mayor's political and philosophical ethos.
