Plot

In the shadowy world of biblical prophecy and religious mysticism, Father Ángel Berriartúa, a devout Catholic priest and professor of theology, deciphers a cryptic code from Saint John's enigmatic Book of Revelation. The code reveals a chilling prophecy: the Antichrist will be born in Madrid on Christmas Day, bringing with it the potential end of the world. Armed with this terrifying knowledge, Father Berriartúa embarks on a sacrilegious mission to commit as many sins as possible, intending to sell his soul in a desperate bid to prevent the impending apocalypse. Navigating the labyrinthine streets of Madrid with the ticking clock of Christmas Day echoing in his ears, Berriartúa allies himself with José María, a passionate Black Metal enthusiast, and Professor Caván, an Italian television host known for his extensive knowledge of the occult. This unlikely trio embarks on a thrilling and darkly comic adventure, their quest hinging on a need to pinpoint the exact birthplace of the beast. As Berriartúa plunges further into his ungodly mission, he wrestles with his faith and the moral implications of his actions. The once-pious priest now walks a precarious path of sin, aiming to outsmart the devil himself. In a climactic moment steeped in psychedelic horror, they summon the devil during an acid-fueled trip, which triggers unexpected revelations and alliances. "The Day of the Beast" weaves a gripping tale that balances on the edge of lunacy and reality, leaving the audience questioning: Is Father Berriartúa on the brink of madness, or does the Beast truly exist? As the countdown to Christmas Day continues, the fate of the world hangs in the balance, and hope teeters on the precipice of despair.
