In the enthralling supernatural thriller, The Culling (2015), Tyler, Emily, Sean, Hank, and Amanda, a vibrant group of friends en route to a music festival, find themselves in an unexpected detour of dread. After arriving late at a desolate diner that has already closed its doors for the day, they stumble upon a seemingly lost little girl, Lucy, in the eerie darkness of the parking lot.
Driven by a heady mix of compassion and curiosity, the group decides to escort Lucy back to her home - a remote and unsettling farmhouse nestled in the heart of nowhere. They are warmly welcomed by her parents, Val and Wayne, who invite them to partake in a rustic dinner. However, a sudden accident leaves Val with a gory wound, compelling Wayne to rush her to the hospital, while the group stays behind to attend to little Lucy.
Under the farmhouse's ominous shadow, they soon unearth a chilling revelation - the place is a breeding ground for malevolent forces. The friends find themselves ensnared in a horrifying battle against darkness, their joyous road trip quickly morphing into a desperate fight for survival.
