Taken (2008)

Seventeen-year-old Kim, the daughter of retired CIA agent, Bryan Mills lives with her mother and wealthy stepfather Stuart. Receiving the opportunity to travel for a vacation to Paris, France, with her friend Amanda, she pleads with her father to allow her to go. With much pleading from Kim and explanation from her that she will be staying with a cousin of Amanda's, Mills grudgingly gives her permission to go. Unfortunately, the statement that the girls will be staying with the cousin was a lie. Upon their arrival in Paris, they share a cab with a stranger, and Amanda tells him that they are traveling alone. Unfortunately, this stranger is part of a gang of human traffickers, and he was on the prowl.
