In the heart of East Berlin, 17-year-old Carla unearths a chilling past during a summer stay with her estranged historian father, Hugh. Their dwelling, an antiquated hotel with a history drenched in blood, was once a butcher shop. An uncanny feeling haunts Carla, a whisper of a past life that seems to echo within her room's four walls, an enigmatic suggestion that the space once held more than it does now.
Her curiosity leads her to a relic of the past - an aged wardrobe crowned with a mirror. A reflection not of herself, but of a young girl from the 1930s, haunts its surface. Carla becomes trapped in a spiralling vortex of terrifying visions, the ghostly narrative of the young butcher's daughter who once occupied the room. This ill-fated girl, living under the shadow of her Nazi-supporting, abusive father, risked everything to shelter a Jewish dissident in the chilling recesses of their shop's cold room.
As Carla's reality blurs with these horrific past memories, a paralyzing fear of her own father begins to grip her. Hugh, desperate to restore his daughter's peace, finds himself helpless as the situation spirals out of control. Is Carla's mind crumbling under the weight of these gruesome visions, or is there a message hidden within the horrors of the past that these phantoms are desperate to convey?
