Once a campus radio sensation, Wesley Hardin Johnson Jr. is a Christmas enthusiast who never fails to welcome the season with resounding jingle bells. His infectious cheer spills over into an impromptu road trip, offering a ride to fellow student Megan, whose original transport plans fell through. Their journey to New England morphs into an unforgettable Christmas adventure, embedding itself into Megan's heart. Fast forward to years later, Megan is now a modest reporter for the local newspaper, her career hanging by a thread as the paper faces a corporate takeover. Wesley, on the other hand, has returned home as a star vetted by Californian radio stations. Their paths cross again, rekindling Megan's unfulfilled desires for the one boy she never forgot, who had abruptly left college before the next term. Wesley, however, appears unresponsive, leaving Megan to hatch a plan to pique his interest. Employing the whimsy of their past, Megan begins sending anonymous Christmas-themed souvenirs. Wesley, oblivious, discards these tokens, even discussing the peculiar occurrences on his show that ironically forbids any Christmas-related content. Yet, the whispers of a 'romantic mystery' reach their bosses, setting them on a collaborative task. Wesley is to discover the identity of his secret admirer, while Megan is assigned to document the unfolding romance. As they navigate their tasks, will this Christmas bring them the gift of love they've been missing?
