Plot

In a daring social experiment, Count Armalia aims to unravel the thin veil between wealth and poverty. He plucks Anni, a humble dive singer, from her world and thrusts her into the opulent realm of a luxurious resort for a fortnight. Adorned in sumptuous attire and steeped in counterfeit prestige, Anni is seduced by the allure of affluence. As the sands of time slip away, she sets her sights on Rudi, a wealthy suitor, in a desperate bid to secure her place among the elite. However, the plan hits a snag as Rudi's betrothal unravels at a frustratingly slow pace. Amidst the shimmering mirage of riches, Anni unexpectedly stumbles upon genuine affections for Giulio, a modest postman with a humble abode and a trusty donkey cart. Now, she is faced with a heart-rending choice between the intoxicating allure of wealth and the undeniable pull of love...
