The Brainiac (1962)

In the foreboding year of 1661, deep within the heart of Mexico, the ominous shadow of the Inquisition looms over Baron Vitelius d'Estera. Condemned for his disturbing indulgence in witchcraft, necromancy, and the bewitchment of noblemen's wives and maidens, the Baron is painted with the scarlet letter of heresy. Despite the earnest defense of the noble Marcos Miranda, the Baron is sentenced to a fiery demise at the stake. As flames dance around him, a vengeful curse spills from his lips, promising a chilling retribution on the descendants of his four Inquisitors - Indalecio Pantoja, Baltasar de Meneses, Reinaldo Miranda, and Contreras. Three centuries later, as the calendar flips to 1961, the night sky of Mexico is adorned with a celestial spectacle of a passing comet. This cosmic event, once an omen over the Baron's execution, now serves as the harbinger of his eerie return. The unsuspecting astronomer, Prof. Saturnino Millán, along with his assistants Reinaldo Miranda and Victoria Contreras, watch in awe, oblivious to the terror the comet harbors. Emerging from the comet's ethereal trail is the malevolent Baron Vitelius d'Estera, reborn as a grotesque monster with an insatiable appetite for brains. Tracing the bloodlines of the Inquisitors to their present-day descendants, Sebastián de Pantoja, Luis Meneses, Marcos Miranda, and Victoria Contreras, the Baron begins his grim dance of vengeance. As the descendants find themselves in the chilling grip of the brain-eating monster, the Baron's curse comes alive, turning the once tranquil Mexico into a theater of horror and retribution.
