The Bone Snatcher (2003)

In the vast, unforgiving expanse of the Southern African Namib desert, Eland Mining grapples with an unsettling mystery: the unexplained disappearance of three from their ranks. In response, the company assembles a search and rescue team, bolstered by the brilliance of Dr. Zach Straker, a man who has dedicated his life to studying the art of survival in the harshest conditions. Their desperate search leads them through the shifting sands to a chilling discovery - human bones, tainted with fresh blood, belonging to their missing comrades. However, the bones vanish as quickly as they appeared, replaced by a monstrous entity that haunts the dunes, known to the locals as Esikhulu. This enigmatic creature, born of legend and feared by the native herdsmen, possesses an unnerving ability to appear and disappear at will. It withstands the onslaught of shotgun blasts, and its touch turns water to acid. Most terrifyingly, it consumes human bodies, leaving nothing but bones in its wake and reducing their numbers one by one. The team must now confront this seemingly invincible terror, their mission evolving from rescue to a desperate fight for survival.
