Plot

In the glitz and artificial glamour of Hollywood, a weary film star, Matty, finds himself yearning for a simpler existence. He trades the stardust of the silver screen for the sun-soaked beaches of Miami, hoping to find solace and a new beginning. Matty proposes to his girlfriend Annie, but their relationship is marred by the haunting echoes of an abortion that was once his suggestion, creating a chasm between them. In the depths of his anguish, Matty and his friend Micky surrender to a wild, drug-infused night in Miami. Their path crosses with a beguiling waitress, also named Annie, whose life inexplicably intertwines with theirs. As the night crescendos, Matty succumbs to oblivion, his memories of the events fading into an elusive blur. A year and a half later, Matty has traded the Miami heat for the bustling streets of New York. He's embraced sobriety, attending AA meetings, and kindled a relationship with the charismatic Susan. Yet, the specter of the past continues to haunt him, his obsession with Annie undiminished. As he returns to Miami, he is confronted by unexpected revelations about the second Annie, creating a vortex of questions about his past that he must navigate. In this intoxicating tale of love, loss, and self-discovery, Matty soon learns that some memories are best left as fragments in the past, while others hold the key to his future. He confronts the haunting labyrinth of his mind, trying to piece together a night that remains shrouded in mystery and intrigue. Will he find the answers he seeks or realize that some questions are best left unanswered? 'The Blackout' is a cinematic journey into the heart of one man's struggle with his past and his pursuit of redemption.
