Plot

Retired Chicago mobster Cesare Celli finds himself back in the familiar streets of Naples, Italy, only to be confronted by the audacious American crook, Harry Price, and his motley crew of four. When a daring $50,000 ransom turns into a realization of Celli's fabricated wealth, he's left grappling with his tarnished reputation among his associates. Despite his outward affluence, Celli's pockets are as empty as his spirit, and his attempts to secure the demanded sum prove fruitless. However, Celli isn't ready to bow out of the game quite yet. In a desperate bid to reclaim his pride, he proposes a daring venture to Harry and his gang—a $5 million crime spree. But there's a catch: Celli is the boss, and Harry's inexperienced crew must operate under his seasoned guidance. The team includes Cockney mechanic Davey Collins, a father of eleven, Benny Brownstead, an infrequent classical violinist, and chef Antonio Tozzi, struggling to shed weight for his fiancée. Lastly, there's Harry's girlfriend, Juliana, a daydreamer with a special task from Harry—to use her charms on Celli for crucial information. With the assistance of his old partner, Professor Samuels, a mastermind behind many of Celli's past schemes, they devise a plan to steal platinum ingots in transit by train to the port of Taranto. But they lack the initial $3,000 needed for expenses, forcing them to resort to stealing, ironically. Their journey is fraught with one calamity after another, mostly due to the ineptitude of Harry's greenhorn gang. The question lingers—can this band of misfits turn their string of mishaps into a triumphant conclusion? In this rollercoaster of crime and comedy, every blunder brings them one step closer to answering this burning question.
