Plot

Emerging from the cold confines of a prison in Eastern Turkey after a grueling 35-year sentence, Baran, the once notorious bandit, steps into a world wholly unrecognizable. The rustic charm of his home village, a place he yearned for while imprisoned, is now a distant memory, submerged beneath the cold, indifferent waters of an artificial reservoir. The village, like his past life, is a ghostly echo, drowned by the relentless march of progress. The architect of his downfall is Berfo, a man once closer than a brother, now his sworn enemy. Betrayed and robbed of his gold and beloved Keje, Baran's only desire is to settle old scores and reclaim his lost love. Guided by whispers of Berfo's whereabouts, Baran embarks on a journey to the throbbing heart of Istanbul. On a rickety train ride, he crosses paths with Cumali, a street-smart youth reared in the labyrinthine alleys of Beyoglu. Together, they navigate this alien landscape of bars, gambling dens, and drug-filled shadows, their lives tangling in the web of the city's underbelly. For Cumali, this alliance is an opportunity. He dreams of ascending the underworld hierarchy, fueled by a cocktail of ambition and desperation. He is fighting his own battles, committed to aiding his girlfriend Emel's convict brother who is teetering on the brink of peril in the prison hierarchies. Their destinies intertwined, Baran and Cumali plunge deeper into the city's gritty underworld, their every step shadowed by danger and intrigue. As they wade through the urban chaos, Baran's legendary past as a bandit becomes a source of both amusement and awe for Cumali and his friends. For Baran, however, the quest is deeply personal. Amidst the dizzying whirl of the city, he is a man out of time, seeking his stolen past in a world that has left him behind. His journey is a testament to the power of love and vengeance, a tale of a legendary bandit navigating the labyrinth of a transformed world, seeking redemption and retribution.
