That's Life! (1986)

As the sun sets over their lavish Malibu estate, architect Harvey Fairchild (Jack Lemmon) and singer Gillian Fairchild (Dame Julie Andrews) prepare for an unforgettable weekend. The occasion? Harvey's momentous 60th birthday. The guest list? Their three grown children, each with their kaleidoscope of quirks and significant others, along with their closest friends. Even their daughter Kate (Emma Walton Hamilton) and her boyfriend Steve (Robert Knepper) are jetting in from New York City, adding a dash of east coast hustle to the coastal calm. However, beneath the anticipation of the celebrations, a storm brews. Gillian, the lighthouse of the family, is harbouring a secret - she's awaiting the results of a throat biopsy, potentially cancerous. Resolute in her decision to keep the unsettling news under wraps, she doesn't want to cast a shadow over the weekend's festivities.
