TerrorVision (1986)

In the distant cosmos, an advanced civilization has discovered an ingenious solution to its waste management crisis - transforming garbage into energy and beaming it across the vast void of space. However, this otherwise flawless system harbors a terrifying glitch. When the unsuspecting Putterman family, residing on Earth, unintentionally intercepts this intergalactic transmission via their new satellite dish installed by patriarch Stan, an uninvited guest descends upon their home. This is not just any guest, but a ravenous creature manifested from the alien waste energy, which quickly develops a taste for the Puttermans and their unsuspecting visitors. Amidst the chaos, only the young and perceptive Sherman Putterman discerns the true nature of the unfolding horror, yet his desperate warnings fall on deaf ears. Stan's seemingly benign television system has become an ominous gateway, bridging two worlds in the most perilous way. Now, the Puttermans' quaint suburban home is ground zero for an extraterrestrial monster's feeding frenzy, with Sherman as their only hope. Will he manage to convince his disbelieving family in time, or will they become the next course in this interstellar creature's voracious banquet?
