Plot

In the hushed halls of academia, renowned chemistry professor JT Dalton weaves a tangled web of mentorship and discipline, running the readjustment program at a local university. Her brilliance is as alluring as it is enigmatic, drawing in the most unlikely of pupils - Shawn Wittig, a wayward heir with a playboy father and a penchant for trouble. Freshly court-ordered to attend Dalton's program, their initial meetings are explosive, a volatile mix of resistance and curiosity. As Shawn emerges from a self-imposed 12-year exile in Europe, the shadows of his past chase him, threatening to swallow him whole. But Dalton, relentless in her tiger-mom approach, ignites a spark within him, a connection that transcends the boundaries of mentor and student, spiraling into a fervently illicit affair. Their scandalous liaison, soaked in desire and danger, begins to consume their worlds, echoing within the hallowed university corridors and the luxurious confines of Shawn's home. The whirlwind romance, as intoxicating as it is forbidden, doesn't escape the watchful eyes of the university and Shawn's domineering father. Dalton is swiftly suspended, and Shawn is forced to relinquish his obsession with his older professor. But the question lingers — is this enough to extinguish the flames of their compulsion? Or does the consuming passion of this deadly romance only fan the embers of their desire? "Symphoria" (2021) is a provocative exploration of power, obsession, and the intoxicating allure of forbidden love, set against the backdrop of academia and high society.
