Plot

In the shadowy eve of World War II, the rhythmic pulse of Swing music beats as the clandestine heartbeat of Germany's youth. Amid the austere backdrop of Nazi Germany, a tightly bonded group of young friends dare to defy the oppressive regime by indulging in the forbidden tunes from the U.S. By day, they don the uniform of Hitler Youth, their roles as engineering students a stark contrast to their vibrant nocturnal rebellion. Their world of dancing and innocent revelry, however, is soon threatened as the Nazis tighten their iron grip on the nation. Faced with the chilling reality closing in around them, the 'Swing Kids' must navigate a treacherous path of difficult decisions, each one a struggle between right, wrong, and survival. The stakes rise perilously when Peter, one of the young rebels, becomes entangled with a charming yet ominous S.S. officer. His father, a staunch defender of his Jewish colleagues at the University, has already paid a heavy price for defiance. Now, the consequences of their nocturnal rebellion weigh more heavily on their young shoulders. Through the smoke-filled dance halls and beneath the rhythm of Swing, the 'Swing Kids' dance their dance of defiance, their lives a testament to the power of music, friendship, and the resilient human spirit.
