Plot

In the heart of familial warmth and bustling chaos, we find Kuselan (Vijayakumar) and Suseela (Manjula), parents to nine vibrant souls - three boys (Sathyaraj, Prabhu Ganesan, and Abbas) and six girls (Rambha, Roja, Kasthuri, Maheswari, Preetha Vijaykumar, and Suvalakshmi). Their bustling household is completed by R. Parthiban, a faithful servant who is more like an adopted son, and Napoleon, the family's trusted physician. The film unfolds amidst the jubilant festivities of Kuselan's 60th birthday. However, the joyous occasion is abruptly marred when Kuselan suffers a heart attack. The grim prognosis from the hospital corners the family into a devastating reality - Kuselan doesn't have long to live. From his deathbed, he makes a final wish: to see his children married before he departs. Eager to fulfill his wish, the family launches a state-wide campaign, advertising grand dowries and a piece of their expansive estate for the prospective partners. This lucrative offer attracts a flurry of potential suitors, eager for a chance at wealth and a place in this colourful household. However, amidst this matrimonial whirlwind, a secret surfaces. The children, oblivious to the family's plans, have already found love. Each of them has a beloved, ready to brave the stringent selection process, and even a bit of bribery, to secure their place in the family. Amidst humorous mishaps and unexpected pairings, the family finds their chosen partners. As the family prepares for a grand wedding, they face an unexpected hurdle - a greedy opportunist, Mansur Ali Khan, who, thwarted in his bid to join the family, kidnaps the brides for ransom. The family rallies together, calling in Assistant Commissioner Arjun Sarja for help. In a thrilling climax, they manage to rescue the brides and proceed with the grand wedding. In a final twist, Kuselan reveals his heart attack was a ruse, a dramatic plot to ensure his children would take the leap into matrimony. The movie ends on a high note, with joyous celebrations and the contentment of a father's wish fulfilled. Suyamvaram is a delightful rollercoaster ride imbued with love, family bonds, and a hint of drama, leaving viewers with a warm sense of satisfaction.
