Super 8 (2011)

Growing up in a small Ohio town in 1979, 14-year-old Joe Lamb is still struggling to cope with the emotional trauma from the loss of his mother in a workplace accident when he agrees to make a zombie movie with his friends using the Super 8mm film format. But while they film an action scene at night, Joe and his friends witness a spectacular train crash, which appears to unleash a strange force upon the town. Soon mysterious and unexplainable events begin happening in this thrilling homage to childhood amateur filmmaking and alien invasion films.
