Plot

As the first summer season unfurls its warmth over the Sorrento Vineyards, just outside St. Madeleine, California, the sizzling romance and newfound business partnership between Frankie Baldwin and Nate DeLuca takes center stage. Rising like phoenixes from the ashes of a bitter family feud, Frankie and Nate now co-own the vineyard, each bringing their unique skills to the table. Frankie's mission is to outdo her previous award-winning wine, while Nate, armed with a Ph.D. in Science, is determined to cultivate the finest grapes the vineyard has ever seen. The stakes are high as they aim to establish Sorrento's formidable reputation at the upcoming Taste of St. Madeleine, an annual festival pairing exquisite wines with gourmet dishes. Going against tradition, Nate decides to showcase his culinary prowess, planning to pair his homemade delicacies with Frankie's anticipated Cabernet Sauvignon. However, a sudden turn of events leads to Sorrento being selected as the host of the festival, a decision made by Nate that sends ripples of tension through their partnership. The predicament? Frankie's wine isn't ready, and serving an underwhelming wine or none at all, could shatter their dreams, and Sorrento's reputation. Simultaneously, another impulsive decision by Nate threatens to annihilate this season's grape harvest, further endangering their venture. These challenges expose the cracks in their communication and threaten to sabotage their personal and professional relationships, especially as Frankie wrestles with how to expedite the wine's aging process. Meanwhile, the vineyard's summer drama is heightened by a subplot of forbidden romance. Nate's younger brother, Marco, notorious for his womanizing ways, falls for Frankie's visiting cousin, Lexi Moreau, an aspiring pastry chef. As Marco attempts to convince Frankie, Lexi, and even himself that he's a changed man, it's clear that this summer at the vineyard is one of transformation, trials, and tantalizing wine. In the sequel to Autumn in the Vineyard, Summer in the Vineyard serves a full-bodied plot of romance, rivalry, and the pursuit of the perfect Cabernet Sauvignon, all under the sweltering California sun. The future of Sorrento Vineyards hangs in the balance, testing both the strength of Frankie and Nate's relationship and their shared vision for their cherished vineyard.
