Plot

In the heart of opulence, ensnared within the gilded cage of her luxurious apartment, we find Leona Stevenson, an enchanting yet vexing hypochondriac. Her affluence is overshadowed by a psychosomatic ailment that chains her to her bed, her only tether to the world beyond her room being the telephone. Consumed by an insatiable need for communication, Leona uses it to a fault, her anxiety spiking as her submissive husband, Henry, is tardy in his return home. One fateful evening, a twist of telephone lines leads her into an unexpected eavesdropping. A chilling conversation between two menacing strangers plotting a murder seeps through the receiver, thrusting her into a desperate race against time. As she dials number after number - from the operator to the police - she weaves together the pieces of this deadly puzzle, leading her to the shocking revelation of the intended victim’s identity. Simultaneously, unbeknownst to Leona, her husband is entangled in a dangerous web of deceit and blackmail. His involvement in a swindle unravels into a life-threatening situation, his path converging with Leona’s relentless quest to prevent a seemingly imminent crime. As the clock ticks and tension builds, we follow Leona's desperate attempts to thwart a murder from the confines of her bed. Each ring of the telephone echoes the beats of her heart, each conversation a stepping stone in her race to save an innocent life. 'Sorry, Wrong Number' takes you on a thrilling ride, charting the intersection of fear, desperation, and truth in the heart of the city's high society.
