Plot

As the Earth teeters on the brink of a solar apocalypse, a team of courageous astronauts, led by the stoic Steve Kelso, embarks on a daring mission. Their task? To venture into the fiery heart of the sun, where they must drop Freddy, an anthropomorphic bomb, with precision timing to divert an impending solar flare that threatens to incinerate our planet. However, the stakes are raised as the nefarious CEO of the colossal IXL Corp, Teague, dismisses the threat of the flare. He plots the mission's failure, intending to capitalize on the ensuing panic and acquire the planet at a bargain. His loyal employee, Haas, weaves a dangerous surprise for the unsuspecting astronauts, adding a twist to their already perilous journey. On Earth, the saga continues as Admiral Skeet Kelso, a seasoned veteran and Steve's father, scours the unforgiving desert in search of his AWOL grandson, Mike. Mike's innocent quest to bid his father farewell inadvertently entangles him with the sinister men of IXL, following a chance encounter with the enigmatic desert-dweller, Travis. As the heat intensifies both in space and on the ground, a tangled web of family ties, corporate conspiracy, and survival unravels in this gripping saga of humanity's fight against nature's deadliest fury.
