Seven Days (2010)

In the idyllic town of Drummondville, Bruno Hamel, a respected surgeon of thirty-eight, leads a harmonious life with his wife Sylvie and their precious eight-year-old daughter, Jasmine. Their tranquil existence, much like many happy families, is shattered one fateful autumn afternoon when an unimaginable horror befalls them: Jasmine is brutally raped and murdered. The once serene world of the Hamel family crumbles into despair and darkness. The capture of the murderer sparks a sinister flame inside Bruno's anguished heart. Obsessed with avenging his daughter's death, he meticulously concocts a chilling plan to seize the monster responsible. The day of the court appearance, Bruno's scheme springs into action, and the monster is snatched from the hands of the law. Bruno then sends a terse yet terrifying message to the police. He informs them that for seven agonizing days, the beast will suffer the wrath of a grieving father before meeting a gruesome end.
