Fire in the Sky (1993)

On a night etched in history, November 5, 1975, the sleepy town of Snowflake, Arizona becomes the epicenter of an enigmatic incident. Travis Walton, a logger contracted by the government, and his colleagues, on their journey home through the White Mountains, are greeted not by the usual serenity of the woodland, but by a mesmerizing crimson light cutting through the darkness. Driven by curiosity, Walton steps out of the safety of their truck and into the unknown. Suddenly, he's knocked off his feet, seized by a beam of blue-green energy emanating from the unidentified object now known as a flying saucer. In the ensuing chaos, his fellow loggers flee, fear replacing curiosity. When they finally gather their wits and report the incident, their story is met with incredulity and disdain. The once close-knit crew finds themselves in the eye of a storm, accused of a crime they did not commit - the murder of their missing friend, Travis. For five days, Walton disappears from the face of the Earth, his whereabouts as mysterious as the gleaming object that took him. When he inexplicably reappears, he's a shell of his former self, unable to piece together the jigsaw puzzle of his lost days. However, as time ticks on, the fog in his mind clears and the horrifying memories of his ordeal begin to surface.
