Plot

In the heart of Los Angeles, Glenda Parks, a compassionate liberal lawyer, finds herself caught in a whirlwind of chaos and comedy. Known for her unabated faith in her minor criminal clients, she often employs them for sundry tasks, viewing it as a pathway to their redemption. Meanwhile, her husband Ira Parks, the city's District Attorney, is eyeing the coveted position of the state Attorney General, a dream that might come crashing down due to an unforeseen twist of fate. Enter Nicholas Gardenia, Glenda's ex-husband and a non-fiction writer with a knack for landing in trouble. A shocking video surveillance footage unveils Nick as the apparent perpetrator of a bank heist in Carmel. However, the truth is far more dramatic – Nick was actually the victim of a kidnapping and was coerced into the crime by the real culprits. Haunted by a past experience of being wrongfully imprisoned in Mexico, Nick is reluctant to turn himself in. Instead, he reaches out to Glenda, the only person he trusts can help him navigate this perilous situation. Glenda finds herself torn between her duty to her husband and her instinctive desire to help Nick, much like her clients and the stray dogs she has taken under her wing. This unexpected reunion stirs up old emotions, as Nick still harbors feelings for Glenda and believes she reciprocates. As the tension escalates in the Parks' Brentwood house, filled with a motley crew of powerful figures and quirky characters, Nick endeavors to clear his name while also yearning to rekindle his love with Glenda. 'Seems Like Old Times' is an uproarious roller-coaster ride that juggles law, love, and a whole lot of hijinks, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats with laughter and anticipation.
