Plot
Mr. Bean has somehow managed to maintain a job as the caretaker of the British National Gallery despite his bumbling nature and his habit of falling asleep on the job. Partly as an opportunity to get Bean out of their hair, the museum administrators send him to accompany the priceless painting Whistler's Mother to a gallery in Los Angeles. The first problem is that Bean knows nothing about art. The second is that he seems perfectly incapable of protecting it from either thieves or hazards. It's going to take some extraordinary strokes of luck to get the painting to L.A. in one piece.
