In the gritty council schemes of Dundee, we meet Davie (Conor Berry), a dreamer and hustler forever chasing the next big score only to squander it on the racetrack. When a football injury sidelines him, Davie finds solace and an unexpected love interest in Shona (Tara Lee), a dedicated trainee nurse. Determined to win her admiration, he dives headfirst into the vibrant world of disco management. Joined by his loyal friends John and Scot, their ambitions quickly escalate from running discos to promoting bands, culminating in the audacious plan of bringing the renowned Iron Maiden to the Caird Hall, Dundee. The stakes are raised as their ambitions outgrow their means, and they find themselves inescapably indebted to Fergie, a gangster whose reputation for violence is as legendary as it is terrifying. With his football dreams in ruins, Davie must navigate the treacherous and thrilling world of gig promotion, and muster every trick in his book to pull off the most audacious scheme of his life. As he teeters on the brink of disaster, the question remains: Can this dreamer from the schemes stage the show of a lifetime, or will he lose everything to his insurmountable debt?
