Plot

As the curtains rise on Swinging London, we meet Guy Lambert, a charismatic rock singer ready to set the stage ablaze. His tour leads him and his entourage to the vibrant city of Antwerp, where he unwittingly becomes entangled in a web of danger and deception. In his shadow, the beautiful yet naive heiress, Jill Conway, and the sultry society sophisticate, Claire Dunham trail him, each with their own hidden agendas. However, Antwerp's cobblestone streets hold more than just romance for Lambert. A pair of comically inept jewel thieves lurk in the periphery, having concealed their illicit bounty of smuggled diamonds within the unsuspecting Jill's luggage. Adding to the chaos, a trio of hilariously bungling detectives, reminiscent of the iconic Inspector Clouseau, stumble through the city's underbelly, desperate to crack the case. Meanwhile, a darker shadow is cast over Jill as her life is put at risk. Her unscrupulous uncle, driven by greed, plots to wrestle away her fortune. His avarice doesn't stop there, as he also becomes entangled in the dangerous diamond smuggling operation. To top it all off, a mysterious figure with murderous intent lurks in the corners, ready to strike at Jill at any moment. In the midst of this whirlwind, Lambert must navigate through a labyrinth of deception, danger, and diamonds. As the rhythm of rock n' roll pulses through the air, will he be able to uncover the truth, protect Jill, and still bring the house down with his music? Double Trouble (1967) is a rollercoaster of intrigue, humor, and suspense, where not everything is as it seems, and the beat goes on.
