Plot

The cherished boarding house run by the elderly duo Nora Taylor and Maggie Ryan, a relic of gentler times, teeters on the brink of foreclosure. Unbeknownst to its long-term, unsuspecting tenants, the house bears the weight of unpaid back taxes. The owners' lives and the fate of the house intertwine with the tumultuous lives of their offsprings, showgirl Sarah Jane Ryan and pianist-cum-songwriter, Tommy Taylor. After a mysterious five-year absence, Tommy returns, reigniting a once passionate romance with Sarah Jane, now smouldering with resentment. His return is shadowed by the enigmatic Mr. Grasselli, a "nervous wreck" seeking refuge as a tenant and peace from an undisclosed ailment. However, the house's tranquility shatters when Sarah Jane recognizes Grasselli as Chips Maguire, a notorious gangster she once worked for. In a whirlwind of secrecy and peril, it's revealed that Tommy, a mere musician in Maguire's nightclub, is now embroiled in a deadly intrigue. He's bound to protect Maguire, who stands accused of murder committed with Tommy's gun. As these tangled lives intersect within the walls of the once peaceful house, Maguire crafts a hazardous plan to exploit their shared predicament. Turning the boarding house into a thriving nightclub, he proposes a risky solution that could save them all or condemn them, especially as Tommy risks being the scapegoat if the law comes knocking. In "It All Came True," the echo of a bygone era clashes with the harsh reality of the modern world, weaving a tale of love, betrayal, and the desperate pursuit of redemption.
