Satan's Little Helper (2005)

In the eerie gloaming of Halloween, aspiring theater artist Jenna Whooly retreats to her childhood sanctuary, Bell Island, seeking respite amidst familiar faces. She's accompanied by her beau and fellow thespian, Alex Martin, also a native of the island. However, their arrival stirs up a tempest of jealousy in Jenna's impressionable younger brother, Douglas "Dougie" Whooly, who is deeply devoted to his sister and infatuated with the video game "Satan's Little Helper." Donning his Halloween costume, modeled after the game's titular character, Dougie embarks on a quest to find Satan himself, hoping to implore him to eliminate the interloper, Alex. His journey leads him to a deranged serial killer who, in a chilling twist of fate, is masquerading as Satan. Seeing an opportunity, Dougie naively allies with the unhinged murderer, leading him straight into the heart of his unsuspecting family home. Jenna and her mother Merrill, none the wiser, mistake the deadly intruder for Alex, believing him to be indulging Dougie's fantasies. Unaware of the looming danger, Dougie escorts the homicidal imposter through the town, unwittingly aiding him in spreading terror among the locals. Through this chilling narrative, "Satan's Little Helper" explores the eerie intersections of innocence, obsession, and the sinister shadows that lurk beneath the guise of celebration.
