Plot

In the pulsating drama of Rough Play, we explore the rollercoaster journey of Oh Young (Lee Joon), a fiery young actor who thrives in the limelight of a small-scale play. With a knack for rebellion, his audacious off-script improvisations often wreak havoc on the performance, leaving his co-star floundering in his wake. Despite the chaos, Oh Young holds an unwavering belief in his acting prowess, a trait that catches the eye of the down-on-his-luck manager, Kim Jang-Ho (Seo Bum-Suk). Jang-Ho, desperate for a return to glory, sees in Oh Young a beacon of raw potential. He stakes his all on transforming this headstrong actor into the talk of the town. Yet, the higher Oh Young's star ascends, the more he is consumed by arrogance. He begins to take his blossoming career and his relationships for granted, strutting with a dangerous audacity that threatens to topple him from his lofty perch. Rough Play paints a vivid portrait of the rise and fall of a young actor, who, intoxicated by fame, risks losing everything he once held dear. This movie is a compelling exploration of the pitfalls of unchecked ambition and the corrosive effect of hubris on a promising career.
