Romantic Warriors (2003)

In the heart of the ancient East, four seemingly adept swordsmen are entrusted with the task of retrieving a wayward concubine. However, their veneer of competence soon crumbles, revealing them to be nothing more than bumbling fools. Their eccentric leader, Yae-rang, is a one-trick pony, his battle strategy limited to unsheathing his sword, making grotesque faces, and bizarrely pinching his own nipples. Yo-i, his equally inept comrade, shows a glimmer of humanity, driven to mercenary work by his sister's desperate need for money. As they successfully apprehend the runaway concubine and her lover, a comedy of errors ensues. In an unfortunate twist of fate, they unwittingly sabotage the spiritual journey of five slain courtesans, halting their ascent to the heavens. With a newfound purpose, the inept warriors pledge to eliminate the perpetrator, thereby liberating the trapped spirits. But their existing martial prowess, or lack thereof, proves insufficient. They must now learn from the very spirits they hindered, embarking on a journey of self-improvement that is as hilariously chaotic as it is unpredictably heroic.
