Plot

In a world where dawn is drawn by the crow of a rooster, Chanticleer reigns supreme. His melodic voice is believed to coax the sun into rising each day, illuminating the pastoral haven where he resides. However, the Grand Duke of Owls, whose nocturnal tribe loathes the sun's searing touch, schemes to shroud the world in eternal darkness. He orchestrates a cunning ruse that discredits Chanticleer, making him appear a fraud when the sun ascends without his song, thrusting the once revered rooster into a life of exile in the bustling city. Back at the farm, under the tyrannical rule of the owls, a relentless deluge ensues, casting a gloomy shadow and sparking a catastrophic flood. Amid the ensuing chaos, Edmond, a young farm boy enamored with Chanticleer's tale, calls out to the banished rooster. His plea instead summons the menacing Grand Duke, who, in a terrifying act of sorcery, transforms Edmond into a tiny, defenseless kitten. As the farm sinks deeper into despair and darkness, Edmond is saved from his feline fate by an unlikely trio—Patou the loyal hound, Snipes the crafty magpie, and Peepers the insightful mouse. Together, they embark on a daring quest to the city, racing against the encroaching darkness and a looming owl invasion. Their mission: to find Chanticleer, now a rock 'n' roll sensation, and convince him to return home, restore the balance, and reclaim his rightful place as the herald of the sun. In this whimsical tale of courage, friendship, and redemption, the fate of the farm and its inhabitants hang in the balance, hinging on the hopeful note of a rooster's crow.
