Three chipmunk brothers, Alvin, Simon, and Theodore, have their lives uprooted when their home, a tree in the forest, is cut down and sent to Los Angeles. Through a series of hilarious events, the chipmunks find their way into the life of David Seville. Seville is a frustrated songwriter trying to make a name for himself in the industry. Despite a terrible first impression, the chipmunks are able to impress David with their talented singing voices. Together, the chipmunks and Seville record songs and release them on the radio with roaring reviews.
