In the heart of the idyllic Creek Landing, Michigan, the Pearson family, led by Stuart Pearson, embark on their anticipated summer vacation. They settle into a charmingly aged lake house, rented by Stuart's brother Nathan, and shared with his sons and their mother, Rose. As the family nestles into their temporary abode, the tranquility is shattered when the television signal mysteriously scrambles. Tom, Stuart's son, and Ricky Dillman, the pretentious boyfriend of Tom's sister, venture to the attic and eventually the roof to investigate. There, they stumble upon their cousin Jake and a shockingly vandalized antenna dish. Their curiosity piqued, the boys unearth a startling revelation: four extraterrestrial invaders with ominous plans to conquer Earth. Armed with a mind-control weapon that only ensnares adults, the invaders trap the unsuspecting quartet in the attic.
