Residue (2017)

In the grimy underworld of crime, private eye Luke Harding (James Clayton) stumbles upon a book of ominous lineage held by the infamous crime kingpin, Mr. Fairweather (Matt Frewer). Unbeknown to him, the book is a coveted supernatural relic, thus drawing the attention of Fairweather's enigmatic rival, Mr. Lamont (William B. Davis). Alongside his trusty henchmen Boston (Michael Matic) & Jacob (Costas Mandylor), Lamont launches a relentless chase after Luke. The subterranean world of crime grows desperate, yearning to wield the book's power to fuel their nefarious plans. As the book's malevolent essence starts to seep into Luke's apartment, he, his daughter (Taylor Hickson), and his clandestine lover, Monica (Elysia Rotaru), find themselves embroiled in a life-or-death struggle. A battle not just for survival, but also for the sanctity of their eternal souls.
