High Tension (2003)

Alexia and Marie are two students who have retreated to Alexia's secluded family farmhouse in the country, but an attempt to study for their upcoming exams without distraction turns into a desperate struggle for survival. A stranger comes into the home into the middle of the night, butchers all of Alexia's family, and kidnaps her. Marie manages to evade the slaughter by hiding, and she sets out in pursuit of her missing friend. But what is this stranger's motive, and what is it that's so special about Alexia that he decides to let her live? Marie will have to navigate some sadistic traps along the way.
