In the heart of a struggling video store, a lonesome horror buff named Chad Buckley finds solace. His days are filled with lively debates over horror tropes with Sam, his only regular customer. When an unsuspecting job applicant stumbles in, Chad sees an opportunity to impart his vast knowledge of horror and the unique workings of his video store. Sam, however, watches this unfold with visible discontent. As Chad's unconventional orientation proceeds, the narrative cleverly dips into a series of witty horror vignettes, each one playfully poking fun at a different set of horror clichés. As the new recruit gets acquainted with the peculiarities of the store, suspicions about Chad's ominous aura start to surface. But as the plot unravels, it seems our newcomer may be harboring a clandestine secret of his own.
