Plot

In the year 2145, Mars has become a battlefield, echoing with the sounds of rebellion and tyranny. For two centuries, the iron-fisted rule of the Earth Defense Force (EDF) has met its match in the Red Faction, an alliance of resilient Colonies and fierce Marauders. Under the banner of this alliance, the Colonies rise, led by the indomitable Alec Mason, a man who knows the bitter taste of loss. His wife Sam and daughter Lyra brutally taken from him by the Marauders, leaving only a ten-year-old son, Jake, and a tale of white soldiers shrouded in mystery. Fast-forward to a Mars scarred by conflict, where young Jake Mason now proudly wears the colours of the Red Faction, while his father, Alec, drowns in a sea of sorrow and liquor. Jake's mettle is put to the test when he is tasked with a mission of paramount importance - to salvage the EDF Battleship Hydra, a technological marvel that has crashed in a neutral zone. He is joined by Tess, a strong-willed comrade, but their mission derails when they discover they are not alone. White soldiers, figures from Jake's haunting past, have beaten them to the Hydra. In the ensuing chaos, Jake faces a revelation that threatens to shatter his world - the enemy soldier he tussles with is none other than Lyra, his thought-to-be-dead sister. A sister now raised as a weapon, a soldier conditioned to destroy her own blood. Returning to the Colony with this shocking truth, Jake finds himself alone in his belief, his words dismissed as fantasy. In 'Red Faction: Origins', Mars isn’t just a planet; it's a crucible of trust, betrayal, and familial bonds, where the past and present are entwined in a dance of destiny, and the future of a rebellion hangs in balance.
