In the kaleidoscopic landscape of 1982 South India, a tale of mythic proportions unfolds as Quick Gun Murugun, a valiant vegan cowboy and son of T.V. Murugun, finds himself in a righteous standoff against the meat-devouring villain, Rice Plate Reddy. Murugun's uncompromising devotion to his sacred duty of protecting cows leads him to an untimely demise, only to be briskly whisked away by Yamraj to the austere confines of the Ministry of Death Headquarters. Caught in the divine bureaucracy of the afterlife, Murugun eloquently pleads his case before Chitragupta, vouching for his noble mission's necessity. Moved by Murugun's plea, Chitragupta grants him a second lease on life, sending him back to the land of the living to continue his crusade against Reddy's carnivorous tyranny. Returning to the bustling streets of Mumbai, Murugun, armed with his gun and his unwavering resolve, faces a flurry of challenges. He finds himself entangled in a bizarre duel amidst a traffic jam, crosses swords with Dabbawalas at Dadar Railway Station, and amid these exploits, his heart is stolen by the voluptuous Blonde Mango Dolly. However, looming ominously in the backdrop is the insidious Rice Plate Reddy. The unscrupulous restaurateur dreams of creating the ultimate McDosa chain, using beef as his secret ingredient. Unbeknownst to Murugun, Reddy devises an elaborate plan to transform our hero into a beef cutlet. Quick Gun Murugun is an audacious Western spoof that dances on the line of melodrama, punctuated by vibrant song sequences and absurdly entertaining action scenes.
