Plot
Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne are best friends and absolute idiots. Christmas works as a limo driver who falls in love with Mary Swanson, a client that he transports after a flight. Swanson leaves a briefcase behind. This is no ordinary briefcase: It contains the ransom for Swanson's kidnapped husband.
Unaware of this and madly in love with his former client, Christmas and Dunne begin a journey to get Swanson her briefcase back and to give Christmas a shot at love. The movie follows the increasingly bizarre adventures of the pair as they motor across the country.
