Superman II (1980)

General Zod, Ursa, and Non, Kryptonian villains trapped in the Phantom Zone, remain prisoners until Superman accidentally frees them when disposing of a hydrogen bomb. The evil trio then travels to earth, a planet Zod intends to conquer. Lois Lane slowly figures out Clark Kent is Superman, and Clark decides to give up his powers to be with Lois. After losing his superpowers, Clark discovers the villainous trio now mercilessly rule the planet. Clark must restore his lost powers to defeat the evil Zod and his companions.
