John Q (2002)

John Quincy Archibald is just a normal middle class father facing a situation that every father dreads. His son has been hospitalized in the middle of a baseball game after suffering from a heart failure. If Michael doesn't get a heart transplant, he's not going to survive. Unfortunately, John's insurance isn't going to cover the operation. Knowing that he can't simply let his son die, John goes to extreme measures and holds both the emergency room staff and the patients hostage. All he wants is for the doctors to agree to perform the surgery on his son and he'll let everyone go.
